ARTIST CONVERSATION SERIES
Curated by LACMA. This daylong event highlights the extraordinary
range of contemporary photography in Los Angeles and underscores
its vibrant community and history. LACMA has invited five
Los Angeles-based artists to have an informal conversation
with another L.A. artist. This event curated by LACMA is free
to the public. Seats are limited and are at a first come,
first serve basis.

COLLECTING SEMINARS
This is an intimate guided tour of the exhibition before public
hours, led by experts in their field. A 3-Day pass is included
in the $80 fee (per person/per seminar). Enrollment is limited
and reservations must be made in advance. Collecting seminars
will be held at the Barker Hangar.

Hosted by CENTER. 75 Contemporary photographers share their
work. Portfolio Viewing provides collectors and photography
lovers with a unique opportunity to view the work of emerging
and cutting-edge photographers on the cusp of wider recognition.

Sunday, January 13th
11 am: The Photobook: A Discussion*
Book Collector and Gallery Owner Paul Kopeikin will lead a
panel discussion devoted to books on photography; exploring
the explosive market in out-of-print and collectable monographs
that has developed over the past several years. We will discuss
value, building a library, and the unique relationship between
the photograph and the book, from a collector’s perspective.
Among the panelists will be Jonathan Brown (Leadapron), Eric
Miles (Photo-Eye), as well as book collectors including Tony
Nicholas, Jeff Dunas and Dennis Roach.
