Born on December 12, 1964 in the city of Camagüey, Cuba.

He starts going with his uncle to the factory of public advertisements and banners
where he worked. It is his first direct contact with the visual features of graphic
art which he later quotes as the starting point of his motivations.

The quality that makes Agustín Bejarano one of the masters of Cuban art, and a noteworthy figure of contemporary Latin American art, is probably the degree of subtleness reached by the semiologic construction of his most recent works.
