Fourteen local and international artists adapted their works for their exhibition around Panama City, under the title of Ciudad Múltiple (Multiple City), an artistic event that coincided with the city’s 100th anniversary. Art critic Craig Garrett offers an analysis of the participating works, among them pieces by Brooke Alfaro, Jesús Palomino, Francia Alÿs, Juan Andrés Milanes, and Ghada Amer. Read article

- World Monuments Fund –WMF— announces the alert list of some world monuments. 100 most endangered sites. New York

WMF is a non-for-profit organization created in 1965 in New York, for the preservation of the historical, artistic and architectural patrimony of humanity. The organization has recently published an alert list for 2004 including 100 of the most endangered World Monuments. Read more


- No lo llames performance (Don´t Call It Performance). Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain

The renovated view of a genre that is increasingly more difficult to define and to digest, is the main contribution of the cycle No lo llames performance. The program, prepared by the Audiovisual Department of Centro Reina Sofía in collaboration with curator Paco Barragán, will also be presented at Centro Párraga in Murcia. Read more


- James Rosenquist: A Retrospective

From October 17 to January 25, the Guggenheim Museum of New York will present a retrospective on artist James Rosenquist, known to be one of the most important members of the Pop Art movement. Rosenquist, like Warhol and Oldenburg, used icons of advertisement and mass media to represent and target America’s consumer society and lifestyle. Read more
