The Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA, its Spanish acronym), through its Cultural ALBA Grannacional Plan, announces its 2008 ALBA Prizes for Literature and the Arts that acknowledges the lifelong body of work of the chosen artists. Nominations must be sent by email to premios@albacultural.org no later than September 30, 2008. Proposals not complying with the requisites stipulated in this event will be rejected. Read more

The National Museum of Photography - FOTOMUSEO Foundation in Bogota, Colombia, is currently accepting applications to participate in this year’s Fotomaraton. Unlike earlier editions, this year’s competition will center around digital photography created by professionals and amateurs alike.
