Repatriation of Christian Art after 40 Years
On Tuesday, November 12th, the largest cache of looted artworks ever returned to Cyprus was repatriated, including church icons, frescoes, and mosaics. The 173 objects, taken from Orthodox and Maronite churches in the northern part of the island, invaded by Turkish forces in1974 after a coup d’état favoring Cyprus annexation with Greece, were welcomed in an official ceremony.

Carol Young
The focus of this work by Carol Young is to explore the relationship between paper and ceramics,the development of writing, the documentation and recording of history. A Uruguayan ceramist living and working in Colombia since the 1980s, Young's sculptures and installations use ceramics as a medium and support, shifting the audience's perception of the material.
