Sotheby’s auction house named Nanne Dekking, a visual arts teacher and archaeologist at the University of Amsterdam, as its new Vice President for the Americas region and Vice Chairman.
Abelardo Morell, The Universe Next Door
The J Paul Getty Museum of los Angeles will host, The Universe Next Door, an exhibition of works by photographer Abelardo Morell (Havana, 1948). The show was organized by the Art Institute of Chicago and Atlanta’s Hight Museum of Art, and it features more than 100 photographs arranged into six sections.

"Today We Reboot the Planet", is the title of the most recent exhibition incuding a site-specific installation by Argentinean artist Adrián Villar Rojas at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery. The show, that was on view through November, 2013, had a large variety of sculptures. It featured different fossilized starring characters, who back his interest for the fragility of the planet, "...primeval creatures who speak to us of apocalypses, transmutations, death, spaces of a world that harks back to a thoroughly distant past that is nevertheless inhabited by machines and complex devices seemingly allusive to future civilizations...”.
