Blanton Museum of Art Names Beverly Adams
The Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin announces the appointment of Dr. Beverly Adams as Adjunct Curator of Latin American Art. Most recently at the Diane and Bruce Halle Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Adams will join the Blanton in January 2014 to oversee and further develop the museum's longstanding Latin American art program.
Ernesto Neto
The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao launches its annual program with an exhibition of works by Ernesto Neto (Rio de Janeiro, 1964). The show will be held between February 14th and May 18th and is titled Ernesto Neto: el cuerpo que me lleva.
Analogía Digital
The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá will present Analogía digital from February 8th to 24th, 2014.
The show explores computer-based artistic practices, which have been a decisive influence in the development of creative and interactive processes in contemporary society.

Third edition of the Bahia Biennial after 46 years

The curators explain the process of choosing works for the exhibit and how they sought to give meaning to a selection of artworks and artists from many generations, establishing different connections between them.

Fernando Botero. La búsqueda del estilo:1949-1963
The book analyzes the early production of Fernando Botero, that until now had little research and helps the reader to understand how Botero found his peculiar style. Research by Christian Padilla who carries out an exhaustive review of the artist's early stages.

This book accompanied the exhibition with the same title proposing a game with death conceived as a "project". It gathers the work of a large group of artists who participated in the show highlighting each one of their approaches, a rooted subject in Mexican culture.
