The Bonnefantenmuseum announced the winner of the Bonnefanten Award for Contemporary Art (BACA) 214: Laura Lima (1971, Governador Valadares, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
Alejandro Marcos in Paris
From March 5 through March 27 of 2014, the Galerie Argentine in Paris—of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in France—exhibits works by artist Alejandro Marcos. Born in 1937 in Spain, as a child Marcos immigrated with his family to Argentina where he showed his dedication and talent as a painter.
México Through Photography
With a selection of approximately 350 images, the Museo Nacional de Arte presented the Project Mexico Through Photography. Ethnologist Sergio Raúl Arroyo headed the curatorship of an exhibition whose central objective was to propose a visual survey of the most important events in the social and cultural history of Mexico.
