Carlos Cruz-Diez: Doctor Honoris Causa
The University Council of the Universidad Central de Venezuela unanimously approved the proposal made by the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning (FAU) to grant Professor Carlos Cruz-Diez the highest recognition of that University: an Honorary Doctorate.
Georges Braque
To mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Georges Braque (Argenteuil-sur- Seine, 1882 − Paris, 1963), the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao will exhibit from June 13 - September 21, 2014 a large retrospective of Braque's work that will survey all the periods in the artistic trajectory of one of the most important artists of the 20th Century.
Lucio Fontana Retrospective
Regarded as one of the greatest art visionaries of the 20th Century, Lucio Fontana has influenced several generations of artists, from Yves Klein to contemporary artists.
On Wednesday April 30, the Virgilio Barco Library inaugurated the exhibition Afro-Peru by Kike Arnal (Venezuelan documentary filmmaker). The exhibition consists of a series of 25 black and white portraits painted exactly a year ago with the purpose of highlighting and drawing attention to the needs and potential of the Afro-Peruvian population, as well as its contributions to the Peruvian culture.

Allora & Calzadilla, Fault Lines
Fault Lines was the first solo exhibition of the work of Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla in Italy. For their collaboration with Fondazione Trussardi, Allora & Calzadilla conceived an exhibition that included a selection of new works that examine the concept of borders.
