William Kentridge
The 2013 Penagos Drawing Prize was granted to William Kentridge (Johannesburg, 1955), who in recent days was also awarded in Madrid a recognition from the Fundación MAPFRE for his prominent professional artistic trajectory and his contribution to drawing as a genre in its own right within the visual arts.
Agustín Pérez–Rubio
On May 22, prominent Spanish historian and curator Agustín Pérez-Rubio (Valencia-1972) was appointed the new Artistic Director of the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA). The announcement was made in a press conference offered by the Director of the collection, Eduardo Costantini, at the auditorium of the institution.

IILA-Photography Award 2014
This 7th IILA–Photography Award follows the great success of the 2013 edition in which 500 photographic projects were entered, ten times more than in the 2011. This initiative aims to offer young Latin American photographers under the age of 40 the opportunity of participating in the festival alongside renowned figures working in this artistic discipline.
James Turrell at the Guggenheim Museum
Curators Carmen Giménez and Nat Trotman, briefly narrate James Turrell's (California, 1943) exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in 2013, the artist's first exhibition in a New York City museum since 1980. The show is based on the artist's innovative explorations on perception, color and space, with main focus on the role of his site-specific works.
