NAM JUNE PAIK
Nam June Paik, the video-art pioneer, worked in a very unconventional way during the 20th Century with radios, TVs, robotics and other devices in order to explore the relation between man and technology, and to reflect around perception and sensory disproportion caused by technological progress.

His video sculptures, installations, performances and mono-channel videos represent an important influence in the field. From his creations based on Fluxus and altered TV sets from the 1960s, to his video tapes and multimedia installations from the1970s, 80s and 90s, Paik left an enormous contribution to the history and development of video as a form of art.

This video produced by Tate, was featured on occasion of the recent acquisition of 9 works by the artist.
