Every two years, alternating with the Newton Medal for scientific contributions, Color Group awards the Turner Medal, which is given to artists in recognition of their contributions to the understanding of color in the visual arts.

Dibujando la historia moderna documents the development of Fernando Bryce's oeuvre starting with mimetic analysis, a procedure used by the artist to focus his work on grand narratives, historical events, and decisive processes of the century, presenting viewers with different readings and points of view.

Bryce and the show´s curators, Natalia Majluf and Tatiana Cuevas, explain how the idea evolved and how, via the copying of various sources (official documents, press images, political propaganda, advertisements), different series of drawingstook shape to revise power relationships and their mediatization in the history of the Twentieth Century.
