Curator of the Museo de Arte Moderno in Rio de Janeiro

Carlos Alberto Chateaubriand, president of the Museo de Arte Moderno in Rio de Janeiro, announced the appointment of Fernando Cocchiarale as new curator of Visual Arts of the museum.

New Director of the Museo de Antioquia

On January 21, the board of directors of the Museo de Antioquia announced the appointment of María del Rosario Escobar as new director of that cultural institution.
Prohibido olvidar
The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá begins its 2016 calendar with the exhibition Prohibido olvidar (“Forgetting is Prohibited”), which can be visited between February 6th and March 3rd.

Art and Ecology at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change

One hundred and fifty cultural events were programmed around the 21st United Nations Conference on Climate Change, held in Paris between November 30 and December 11, 2015, involving more than 100 institutions and twenty international artists, several hailing from Latin America.

"Everything Is Too Caro in Medellin"

The "MAMM Tributes" program of the Museo de Arte Moderno in Medellin, presents the exhibition titled "Everything Is Too Caro in Medellin" by Colombian artist Antonio Caro. On the occasion of this exhibition, Telemedellín channel will air a video about the retrospective that covers the 45 year trajectory of one of the most prominent conceptual artists from Colombia.

Since the beginning of the 1970s, his works have established a precedent for the Colombian art scene, where he has proposed several contemporary artistic practices like textual art, performance and interactive art. Caro has centered his artistic discourse on themes like politics, consumerism, indigenous America, popular culture and the values that these express.
