Iconocracia. Imagen del poder y poder de las imágenes en la fotografía cubana contemporánea
The Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno in Spain, CAAM presents until May 22 "Iconocracia. Imagen del poder y poder de las imágenes en la fotografía cubana contemporánea".

On the occasion of the exhibition, its curator, Ivan de la Nuez, talks about his curatorial concept. The concept is linked directly to the imaginary and the images produced during the Cuban revolution. Likewise, he tells us how this social and political event is the beginning of the "management and digestion" process in Cuban contemporary art.

"Iconocracia" brings together seventy works by thirty-two artists from Cuba whose artistic work has developed over the past three decades. Through photography and video, this group show brings together a self-perspective critic on a political discourse, along with the iconic visual elements of the Cuban revolution.
