ARCO 2016. Forum on Art Collecting
An interview by hoyesarte with four panelists that participated in the Forum on Art Collecting is among the cultural encounters presented during ARCO 2016.

The first interview is with Peruvian Art Collector Eduardo Hochschild, who talks about the supporting role of collectors as buyers of the artist's work. Philanthropist and Art Collector Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, offers her opinion on the importance of donations to museums from private entities. Glenn D. Lowry, director of the MoMA, addresses the necessity of a symbiotic relationship between public museums and private collections. And, lastly, Writer and Professor Estella de Diego, discusses the ways in which Arco has promoted art collecting despite the historic periods that Spain had to go through during the 20th century.
