The Trebbia Awards Ceremony was held on March 13th at the Spanish Hall in Prague Castle, with the participation of Milos Zitman, President of the Czech Republic; Daniel Herman, the Czech Republic’s Minister of Culture; and Miro Smolák, director of the Trebbia Foundation.
Mauro Giaconi: From the Depth of Time
From the month of March and until July 24 of 2016, the Galería Sur of the Museo Universitario del Chopo presents a personal exhibition by Argentine artist Mauro Giaconi (Buenos Aires, 1977) that consists of three works.
Changing Places/Revealed Spaces Project
From April 7 through April 17 the city of Santiago, Chile, will become a place for experimentation in which Chilean and international artists will transform abandoned buildings and public squares into places of encounter.

The Parisian Galerie Agnès Monplaisir opened a new space at the Lara Hotel, in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza, to showcase works by artists like Olga de Amaral, Daniel Hourdè and Luri Sarmento.
The Museum of Latin American Art celebrates its 20th Anniversary
The festivities include MOLAA at Twenty: 1996–2016, the largest, most comprehensive exhibition of MOLAA's Permanent Collection ever presented, curated by Edward Hayes, visually traces the evolution and growth of the Museum’s collection.
Montemadrid Foundation, 2017Generation
The Montemadrid Foundation is calling all artists, ages 18 to 35, who are citizens or residents of Spain, to present an unpublished work in any artistic or visual genre.

Maria Jose Cifuentes, (Dramaturg) and Simon Castillo (Historian), talk about the project approach ESPACIOS REVELADOS (spaces revealed) / CHANGING PLACES and the idea of artistically occupy abandoned spaces. Likewise, how these spaces have adopted a local history.

Joachim Gerstmeier, Curator of CHANGING PLACES at Siemens Stiftung, expresses how artists develop their artistic projects, as the result of a link with the neighborhood communities, and social issues they encountered. Meanwhile, Enrique Rivera, Local curator of this project, highlights how through laboratories, artists do not attempt to provide solutions to the community, but they deliver an exchange of dreams, fears, needs and questions among the residents.

The series of projects aim to transform empty buildings through artistic interventions. In 2014 it was held in Buenos Aires, 2016 in Santiago de Chile and the upcoming event will take place in Bogota.
