ESPACIOS REVELADOS / CHANGING PLACES
Maria Jose Cifuentes, (Dramaturg) and Simon Castillo (Historian), talk about the project approach ESPACIOS REVELADOS (spaces revealed) / CHANGING PLACES and the idea of artistically occupy abandoned spaces. Likewise, how these spaces have adopted a local history.

Joachim Gerstmeier, Curator of CHANGING PLACES at Siemens Stiftung, expresses how artists develop their artistic projects, as the result of a link with the neighborhood communities, and social issues they encountered. Meanwhile, Enrique Rivera, Local curator of this project, highlights how through laboratories, artists do not attempt to provide solutions to the community, but they deliver an exchange of dreams, fears, needs and questions among the residents.

The series of projects aim to transform empty buildings through artistic interventions. In 2014 it was held in Buenos Aires, 2016 in Santiago de Chile and the upcoming event will take place in Bogota.
