Tomás Ochoa
ArtNexus is pleased to share this video produced by El Tiempo to celebrate the nomination of artist Tomás Ochoa to the EFG-ArtNexus Award. The selection was made during ARTBO 2016, by jurors Lourdes Ramos and Celia Sredni de Birbragher.

In the video, Ochoa talks about the topics present in his work, which are mostly related to current affairs. Without resorting to violent imagery and using gunpowder as a symbolic material, Tomás Ochoa presents a record of landscapes. However, it is the fusion between image and technique that results on landscapes showing the presence of armed groups in Colombian territory.
