During an official ceremony held on November 9, the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (MINTIC), granted the Manuel Murillo Toro Silver Grade Medal to Gilma Suárez.

The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection
British musician Elton John presents his photography collection in a tour of his home, locates in Atlanta.
In this video, John talks about the sale of his painting collection in 1989 and the beginnings of his interest in collecting photography, mostly in small and medium formats. The musician shares his reading of Dorothea Lange’s Migrant Mother (1936) and talks about a Man Ray contact sheet, six portraits Irving Penn, and other holdings in his collection.
This video is presented by the Tate on the occasion of the museum’s exhibition of more than 200 photographs dating from the 1920s through the 1950s, all from the Elton John Collection.
