Although Fisher mainly focused on Irish contemporary art, the art of American aborigines (she paid special attention to the work of Jimmie Durham), the art that in the United Kingdom is called "Black Atlantic" art, and, during the end of her life, on Palestine, her interest in and support of—both practical as well as discursive—Latin American art was extraordinary.

Marc Chagall (1887-1895)
ArtNexus shares here two videos about Marc Chagall, one of the most important artists of the Avant-Garde era.

The first video, The Magician of Color, was produced by Antena3 and asserts that Chagall’s entire oeuvre can be summarized in a single work: the Opéra Garnier ceiling in Paris, which encompasses the artist’s full thematic range. Chagall was, with Picasso, one of the Twentieth-Century’s two most prolific artists, the author of more than a thousand lithographs and hundreds¿ of other works. For Picasso, Chagall was the only artist of the period with a true understanding of color. Available here

The second video, America Windows, comes from the Art Institute of Chicago and tells the story of one of the Institute’s (and the city of Chicago’s) most beloved treasures: Chagall’s windows, created in the 1970s. When the Museum’s new wing was being built, the windows were taken down for their protection, preservation, and study, and for the making of this video. Chagall’s America Windows were reinstalled in 2010. Available here
