Francisco Gil-Tovar
Art critic and historian, Francisco Gil-Tovar, died on July 14 in the city of Bogota. A great teacher in the best sense of the word, Gil-Tovar possessed an incredible sense of humor that allowed him to instill in his students a great passion for art, history and journalism, the areas in which he developed his work in Colombia.

The Ibermuseos Program invites museum institutions to apply before August 6 to the "Conversations. Museums and Communities" biennial call aimed at supporting the production and exchange of exhibition projects between museum institutions from two or more countries within the Ibero-American region.

We share the following video produced by El Tiempo periodical on the occasion of Colombian curator José Ignacio Roca being granted the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award, in recognition of his contributions to the Latin American contemporary art scene through the management and development of artistic residencies at the Fundación FLORA ars+natura.

In the video, José Roca and Adriana Hurtado, FLORA ars+natura's executive director, talk about the history of the institution, its objectives, as well as the artists in residence and curatorship projects developed in this contemporary art space. Accounts from some of the participating artists, curators, and residents of the San Felipe neighborhood corroborate the work done a FLORA ars+natura.
