Eliza Osborne named as Deputy Director at the Armory Show
The Armory Show announced that Eliza Osborne has been appointed Deputy Director of The Armory Show. Osborne will oversee the VIP Program, manage strategic partnerships, and further strengthen the fair’s relationships with collectors, galleries, and institutions worldwide .

The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller record sales
During the first night the Rockefeller auction sold $646 million. The big hit during the opening was for Fillette a la corbeille fleurie, a piece by Pablo Picasso, from 1905, sold in $115,000,000 (including buyer’s commission).

Monuments to Peace by Doris Salcedo and Mario Opazo
In recent days the government of Colombia selected artists Doris Salcedo and Mario Opazo for the creation of Monuments to honor Peace in Colombia.


Rockefeller Colecction record sales

We feature the video by CBS This Morning, of what has been called the "sale of the century," David and Peggy Rockefeller's art collection sold at Christie's in New York for US $832M. The profits in this auction will be donated to charity. The first of the three-day auction included paintings by Picasso, Monet, Diego Rivera, among others. The Rockefeller family started the art collection of Latino American art at the MOMA, when Abby Aldrich Rockefeller donated three works by José Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera in 1935 and 1936; in the auction "Los Rivales" by Diego Rivera Diego Rivera became the most expensive artwork of Latin America to be sold at an auction.
