The 9th edition of FotoFest was recently held in Houston, Texas. Every two years, the Festival exhibits photography. - Art Basel 33
During the Art Basel 33 fair, which recently came to its end, the presence of Latin American artists brought attention even though there were only six Latin American galleries present. This demonstrates the importance of Latin artists to the development of contemporary art. Galerie Lelong, Szwajcer Gallery and Petzel Gallery respectively presented works by Alfredo Jaar, Carlos Amorales and Jorge Pardo.

In the international context, an imminent return in the search for the relationship between art and life was observed in those works treating social and political topics from a perspective that oscillated from the ludic to the contemplative. ArtNexus will publish an article on these and other topics related to Art Basel 33.
