Aurora Espacio para el Arte y Diseño

Bogotá, Colombia

Aurora Espacio para el Arte y Diseño moves to a new space to continue supporting the talent of young and well-established Latin American artists as well as to offer a new experience to its clients.

The new venue will be located in Polo Club, one of Bogota's traditionally residential neighborhoods, which has recently accommodated office spaces, commercial establishments and development areas for a variety of artistic initiatives. This is the context that encouraged Andrea Walker, director of the gallery, to become part of this initiative developed in this and other neighborhoods, like San Felipe, aimed at turning these areas into cultural and artistic circuits in the Colombian capital.

For Andrea Walker, "the relocation and resulting expansion of Aurora seeks to bring the public closer to the appreciation of works in living quarters that are also adequate spaces for art, allowing people to imagine artworks inhabiting their own places and generating positive experiences. Likewise, Aurora seeks to offer a spontaneous and welcoming point of encounter for artists, market agents, curators, clients, and the general public."

Located at Carrera 27 No. 84-41 in Bogota, the new space was inaugurated on April 4 with the group exhibition titled "Geometrical Representations." Curated by Eduardo Serrano, the show centered on geometric and abstract works developed by several young artists like Mario Salazar, Pablo Guzmán, Bairo Martínez, and Jesús Cataño, among others.
