The Yale University Art Gallery announced the appointment of Sydney Skelton Simon as their new Bradley Assistant Curator of Academic Affairs. Sydney is a magna cum laude Yale University alumnus who was a Gallery Guide as an undergraduate and also part of the curatorial team for two student-curated exhibitions at the Gallery - Responding to Kahn: A Sculptural Conversation (2006 - 7) and What is a Line? Drawings from the Collection (2007). Sydney pursued a PhD at Stanford University specializing in Post-World War II American art and design, and has held previous positions at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., and at Stanford University’s Anderson Collection and Cantor Arts Center. 


In her role at the Gallery, Sydney is responsible for promoting, managing, and implementing the museum’s university-level outreach and teaching and learning with the collection. Visit the Education page on their website for more info and contact staff.artgallery.yale.edu
