Great Masters of Bronze

Galería Emilia Cohen and Fundición Alejandro Velasco bring together, premiering publicly and for Mexican collectors, the most outstanding figures of bronze sculpture in a single exhibition.

Great Masters of Bronze is a sculpture exhibition that gathers contemporary works in bronze, a classic material in sculpture that continues to be a part of art production today, since it is artists´ and collectors´ choice, as far as a permanent work is concerned.

José Luis Cuevas, Sergio Hernández, Gabriel Macotela, Roberto Cortázar, Jesús Mayagoitia, José Luis Romo, Gilberto Aceves Navarro and Manuel Felguérez among over 15 renowned artists, show a selection of works that range from small to monumental formats, created at the prestigious workshop of Alejandro Velasco.

Great Masters of Bronze is the gathering of more than four generations of artists who find in bronze, a fortunate form of perpetuating their artistic expression in current contemporary art.

The exhibition opened on Thursday, March 18, at 7:30pm and will be on view to the public through May 18, at Palmas 1320 Col. Lomas de Chapultepec, from 11:00 to 19 hrs.
